"In Rainbow Beach headlights become soap bubbles blown across the beach, where sand castles are drizzled into form as golden fish are kited and rainbow hang-gliders  are flown. It is my version of the 'Big Wave' meets the Delaware shore.

Surfers crest waves, kicking up spray which in turn refracts into a myriad of rainbows. It is a rhythm of various wavelengths, breaking from our full spectrum of life. It is the basis for the composition of my later 'Current Events' painting." - Ken Mabrey -
